The Ministry of MSME, Government of India during a recent review of coverage under Credit Guarantee Scheme observed that the share of guarantee approval in respect of credit facility extended by Member Lending Institutions to enterprises promoted by entrepreneurs in SC/ST category is low. Keeping in view the need to promote financial inclusiveness, the Ministry desired that greater efforts may be taken by all concerned to increase the share of guarantee coverage to units promoted by entrepreneurs in SC/ST category. Accordingly, all MLIs are requested to kindly note the observations of the Ministry and take necessary action in this regard.
